Voleex C30, Voleex C20R Obtained EU's Whole Vehicle Type Approval
Recently Great Wall Motors built Voleex C30 and Voleex C20R have been approved by EU with WVTA. Following Florid, Coolbear, Haval, and Wingle, the complete series of Voleex saloon cars of Great Wall Motors have got this certification.
Recently Great Wall Motors built Voleex C30 and Voleex C20R have been approved by EU with WVTA. Following Florid, Coolbear, Haval, and Wingle, the complete series of Voleex saloon cars of Great Wall Motors have got this certification.
This certification lasted for 1 year, and the certification organization of VCA in UK is responsible for the certification process which is considerably complicated and strict. Totally 48 testing items are involved in EU Certification, of which 13 are relating to active safety, 13 for passive safety, 8 for environmental protection. Fairly high standards have been set for the vehicles in regard to emission level, safety performance and environmental protection.
EU's Whole Vehicle Type Approval involves strict testing for products’ consistency guarantee capacity, quality control system, ELV（End of Life Vehicles）and other aspects. The strict testing is not only a test for auto products, but also a comprehensive investigation on the enterprise’s production capacity and product management system. RRR (Re-use Recycle Recovery) Certification is deemed as the most challenging one among all the certification programs, and ELV Test is even more difficult. For this reason, Great Wall Motors established China’s first ELV program team for removing the largest barrier of EU’s Whole Vehicle Type Approval ranging from cross-product design to regulations / standards / systems management etc.
Voleex C30, Great Wall Motors’ first notchback sedan, has witnessed a sales volume of over 200,000 units in 17 months since its launch into the market, and listed among Top 10 Compact Family Cars in terms of sales volume in Chinese auto market in 2011, becoming the new benchmark for A-grade family cars of China’s auto brands. Currently, Voleex C30 has already been exported to more than 50 countries and regions. Voleex C20R, a cross vehicle type featuring the combination of sports characteristics and multiple functions, boasts excellent characteristics for sports entertainment, driving comfort and multiple functions etc.
