“Great Wall- Creation of China” Once More Hits Moscow Auto Show
On August 25, the 6th Moscow International Auto Show had its grand opening at Crocus Expo International Exhibition Center, Russia. On the Show, the Great Wall Motors was putting on display its six models of three categories.

Demonstrated in the No. 13 Show Room, No. 3 Hall, GWM occupied an exhibition area of 670 square meters, and was characterized with an exhibition theme of being “Modern, Stylish and Multi-functional”. The lay-out of the exhibition area had a dominant tone of red and white, and on the whole, was constructed in an open style. The products on display include Haval H3, Haval M2, Florid Cross, Voleex C10, Cool Bear, and Wingle 3, all silver color, which have carried forth the style in Beijing Auto Show. To reflect the GWM’s human-oriented care, the exhibition area was specially equipped with a media bar manned by specialist chefs.
GWM’s participation in the Show has attracted the attentions from a number of media, and there were over 50 media visited GWM’s booth. During the Opening Ceremony, GWM and Irito Company, GWM's partner in Russia, held a news conference, on which the executives from both sides delivered a speech respectively, and accepted the interviews from Russian mainstream media.
Russia has long been an important market in the GWM’s oversea strategy. In 2006, GWM's assembly plant in Russia was put into operation, becoming the first Chinese auto brand that had set up a plant in the country. So far, the main category that it sells in Russian market is Haval SUV. With the development in recent years, GWM has grown into a Chinese brand in Russia that has the largest inventory. From January to July, 2010, GWM has an accumulated export of over 3,700 cars to Russia. As for the sales situation in the second half year, Mr. Wang Shihui, International Director of GWM Sales Corporation, indicated that Wingle 3, Haval M2, and Haval H5 would be launched into Russian market in succession. With such a move, GWM will have a brighter and clearer prospect in Russia, and the market will become a powerful support in realizing this year’s export goal.
Besides, taking advantage of the Show, GWM cooperated with Irito Company to organize the Russian Dealers Conference. On the conference, its blueprint was announced, which greatly boosted the dealers’ confidence.
It is understood that the Moscow Auto Show, held annually, is an international show in Russia with the most influence as well as an arena where major global automotive makers and merchants compete fiercely with each other. The show has attracted about 50 auto brands from 12 countries, and over 600 autos were put on exhibition. Among them, eight models had their global debuts, seven had their European debuts and 62 had their debuts in Russia, including 20 models of concept cars. GWM, together with Chery and BYD, participated in the Show on behalf of Chinese auto brands.
The Show will last 12 days, and conclude on this September 5.
