GWM's sales rank 8th in industry in first half with SUV sales growing steadily

According to production and sales data recently released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), 1.8458 million vehicles were sold in China in June, down 6.08 percent month on month on sluggish sales in the off season of the Chinese auto market. In the passenger vehicle segment, only SUVs registered slight growth from last month against the decline of other types. In June, GWM registered sales of 48,500 units, ranking 8th in the industry. Compared to its stable pickup sales and falling car sales, GWM's SUV sales maintained growth and reached 35,800 units, up 13 percent year on year, thus retaining the sales title in the SUV segment.

In the first half, China's auto industry registered sales of 11.6853 million units, up 8.36 percent year on year. The growth was slightly slow compared to the same period of last year. GWM registered sales of 347,400 units, stably ranking 8th in the industry, including 225,300 SUV units, up 21 percent year on year.
