Great Wall Motor becomes 1st Chinese auto brand into Australia
June 2009, ATECO AUTOMOTIVE PTY. LTD, exclusive distributor of Great Wall Motor in Australia & New Zealand held a Great Wall dealer launch ceremony in Sydney. Great Wall Motor became the first Chinese automaker to nail up its shingle in Australia.
On 24th June 2009, ATECO AUTOMOTIVE PTY. LTD, exclusive distributor of Great Wall Motor in Australia & New Zealand held a Great Wall dealer launch ceremony in Sydney. Great Wall Motor became the first Chinese automaker to nail up its shingle in Australia. Great Wall SA220 and V240 – known in China as the Sailor and Wingle respectively were firstly introduced to the local market.
Around 100 dealers and media journalists attended the launch ceremony. They witnessed the exciting moment together. Sailor, Wingle, Hover and Florid as well were also displayed at the launch ceremony.

After the launch ceremony, Great Wall vehicles will be sold and supported initially in Australia by a nationwide network of over 45 dealers and have a comprehensive three year/100,000km warranty. The New Zealand range will be common to that sold in Australia with six dealers at launch. Other Great Wall models will be introduced to Australia and New Zealand market one by one.
