There are 6 models in total participating into the initial collision test this time, they are respectively Yaxiuer, Modern-Ruina, Great Wall Voleex C30, BUICK Excelle GT, Volkswagen CC and GAC Trumpchi. According to the test results, except for Yaxiuer, the rest five models all won C-NCAP five star award.

Voleex C30 gained achievements of 13.19 points, 16 points and 15.16 points respectively in three projects of “ Frontal 100% Overlapping Rigid Barrier Impact Test” , “ Deformable Moving Barrier Side Impact Test” and “ Frontal 40% Overlapping Deformable Barrier Impact Test”, in which it obtained 2 bonus marks by complying with the requirements specified by C-NCAP at the aspect of the front seat belt reminder unit and ISOFIX unit (the fixed installation of the child seat) and passed C-NCAP five star safety assessment finally with a total score of 46.4 points.

According to the introduction of China Automotive Technology & Research Center, the impact test project includes three items: carry out frontal 100% overlapping barrier impact test at speed no lower than 50 km/h; carry out frontal 40% overlapping deformable barrier impact test at speed no lower than 56km/h; and carry out deformable moving barrier side impact test at speed no lower than 50 km/h. Experts appraise the vehicles by giving marks to the conditions of the dummy inside the vehicle, including the head, neck, bosom, thigh, calf, abdomen and hipbone respectively and give a total mark to decide their safety star-level after the three kinds of impact tests have been conducted to the tested vehicles.

During the process of carrying out the frontal 100% impact test, column A of Voleex C30 is maintained perfectly without causing any deformation basically, the vehicle door of both the main and vice-cab can be opened normally, the safety airbags can be extended perfectly, the seating pose of the dummy inside the vehicle is kept normally under the protection of the pretension seat belt without causing conditions including excessive chest pressure; after being impacted, the distance that Voleex C30 falls back is not far, the front machine cover deforms to arch and the overall front end of the vehicle deforms uniformly, which indicates that this model has good effect of endergonic.

During the process of carrying out frontal 40% impact test, severe deformation is caused to the left side of the front end because a majority of impact force is abstracted and dispersed by it, and Voleex C30 shows fine performance because no obvious deformation is caused to the column A and the vehicle door, column B and column C don’t deform obviously and four doors could be opened normally. The front seat double safety airbags all extend normally and the major parts of the dummy including the head are kept perfectly. During the process of carrying out deformable moving barrier side impact test, the incursion and deformation of the side front and rear vehicle door is not very severe, the anti-collision beam on the front and rear vehicle door can be seen clearly, column B deforms and retracts inward and deformation is caused to the upper top beam and the roof at multiple positions. According to the impact test results, the safety equipments of Voleex C30 can always protect very well the head, chest and legs of the driver under various impacts.

One thing to be mentioned is that Voleex C30 won 16 points during the “Deformable Moving Barrier Side Impact Test”, which makes it have an advantage over the six models participating into this impact test.
