On February 14, Great Wall Motor Company Limited released its production and sales data of January 2022.

On February 14, Great Wall Motor Company Limited (stock code: 601633.SH, 02333.HK; hereinafter referred to as GWM) released its production and sales data of January 2022. In January, GWM sold 111,778 units, including 12,750 of overseas, with a year-on-year growth of 16.2%, accounting for 11.4% of GWM's total sales. In 2022, GWM will continue to deepen its electrification and intelligentization, and transform to a global intelligent technology company.

New products keep popular, and market performance remains stable.

In January this year, a number of new products of GWM became popular and were delivered gradually. The average monthly sales of HAVAL H6, HAVAL Shenshou, TANK 300 and POER exceeded 10,000 units respectively, jointly contributing to the steady growth of GWM.

HAVAL brand boasted sales of 70,228 units in January, including 35,570 units of "Chinese Legendary Car" HAVAL H6, which is the best seller among Chinese SUV segment for 9 consecutive years (2013 - 2021), 7,826 units of HAVAL DARGO, 10,085 units of HAVAL Shenshou with cumulative sales exceeding 16,000 units after being launched in market for less than 2 months.

ORA brand boasted sales of 13,229 units in January, with a year-on-year growth of 28.9%, among which 9,020 units of ORA GOODCAT were sold with a year-on-year growth of 333.4%. In 2022, products such as ORA Balei Mao, Pengke Mao and Shandian Mao (names for Chinese market) will be launched gradually to help ORA brand make further breakthroughs.

WEY brand boasted sales of 5,098 units in January. On January 14, GWM launched a new category of intelligent and electric vehicle featuring “zero-anxiety” under the WEY brand, which blazed a new trail. As the first model of the new category, Mocha DHT-PHEV began to pre-sell.

TANK 300 boasted monthly sales of more than 10,000 units continuously with 10,363 units delivered in January, a year-on-year growth of 72.2%. Committed to core strategy of "user-centered", TANK is to build more usertouch points. In 2022, GWM will continuously enrich the two product matrices of ‘Mecha Tech’ and ‘Business Luxury’ under TANK to create an off-road lifestyle for users through category innovation, service upgrading and ecological co-creation.

The GWM Pickup boasted sales of 12,860 units in January (including 10,059 units of POER) with sales of over 10,000 units in 19 cumulative months, topping the list for pickup sales in China and the list for sales of exported pickups for 24 years in a row. In January, GWM gathered the users of POER to have a camping trip in Jinshui Lake, Beijing and demonstrated the performance in ice and snow scenarios. In 2022, GWM will make full efforts in fashionable commercial model and leisure passenger model of POER, continuing to lead the development of Chinese pickup culture, and creating a new pickup world with users.

Increasing brand value, and strategy released in Brazilian market

Brazilian market strategy released, with brand value increasing continuously

In 2022, GWM will speed up the globalization and enhance the brand value continuously.

On January 27, GWM officially took over the factory in Iracemapolis, Brazil. After upgrading of the intelligent and digital transformation, this factory is expected to be put into operation in the second half of 2023. Its annual production capacity is set at 100,000 units and it will radiate the whole Latin American region in the future. In addition, GWM released the core market strategy in Brazil: In the next 10 years, it will invest more than BRL 10 billion (about CNY 11.5 billion) to deepen the layout of local industrial chain, build local technological enterprises, and focus on electrification and intelligentization. GWM plans to launch 10 new electrified products within 3 years, including 4 batteryelectric and 6 hybrid models. The first product will be launched in the fourth quarter of 2022.

In the new year, GWM will speed up iteration of new vehicles in overseas markets, taking the advantages of global intelligent technology products and global production layout to attract more overseas users.

GWM's development achievements continue to attract industrial attention. On January 9, GWM's L.E.M.O.N Hybrid DHT won the "2021 World Top Ten Transmission " award. GWM's HAVAL brand was listed in the Top 500 Most Valuable Brands of 2022 by Brand Finance for the first time.Wei Jianjun, Chairman of GWM, came out the third in the world and the first in China in Brand Guardianship Index 2022 of World’s Top 250 CEOs.

On January 5, "Consumer Advocates - Glory of Chinese Brands" of CCTV-2 made an in-depth report on GWM's deep research and development and break- through of technical barriers. On January 26, "News Live Room" of CCTV-13 interviewed the owners of ORA GOOD CAT in Thailand, and introduced the story of GWM creating surprises for users all over the world by its new energy, new intelligence and new experience.
