On November 11, 2020, Moldova's new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to China, Mr. Dumitru Braghis, and embassy officials visited GWM and had extensive exchanges on "promoting the business development of GWM in Moldova" and in-depth cooperation.

Mr. Ambassador visited the cutting-edge technology and modern production workshop of GWM, and took a test ride of a brand-new model that will hit the international market in wide range. He expressed optimism about GWM’s business development prospects in Moldova and said that he would actively promote the creation of favorable environment for GWM’s local development. At the same time, Mr. Ambassador introduced the Moldova Free Economic and Trade Zone,hoping that both parties can seek to expand wider cooperation and dock opportunities in other areas.

During this trip, Mr. Ambassador mainly visited GWM Xushui Industrial Park. He first visited the Xushui Branch of HYCET Transmission System Co.,Ltd, then the stamping, welding and final assembly workshop in Phase II of Xushui Park, focusing on the manufacturing process of HAVAL SUV and WEY SUV.

In the end, he took a test ride on WEY VV7 PHEV and Haval Dagou in Xushui Test Field, and highly praised HAVAL H9, the 3rd-Gen HAVAL H6  and WEY VV7 GT. Mr. Ambassador expressed his hope of purchasing the GWM products for use as embassy working vehicles. If possible, he would recommend future diplomats to buy the GWM automobiles.

Located in Southeast Europe, Moldova is a landlocked country rich in grapes and high-quality wines, so it is also called "the country of grapes".

Since the establishment of diplomatic relations with China in 1992, the bilateral friendly and cooperative relations have developed steadily, and cooperation in various fields has gradually expanded. On October 25th last year, GWM and Moldovan dealer GBS jointly and successfully completed the launch of HAVAL H2, brand new HAVAL H6, HAVAL H9 and Wingle 7. At that time, Counselor Wu Yan of the Chinese Embassy in Moldova attended the ceremony in person to cut the ribbon and congratulate the first Chinese automobile brand on its official launch in Moldova.
