GWM Launched in Uruguay with Multiple Models in Mercosur
Recently, Great Wall Motors (GWM) held a launch event in Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay. The event, themed "Hello Tomorrow," showcased GWM's new brand philosophy and youthful brand image. At the launch, the four major brands of GWM—TANK, ORA, HAVAL, and POER—were all present, fully demonstrating the company's strong product capabilities and technical reserves. A total of 141 guests, including media, investors, and key opinion leaders (KOLs) from Uruguay, Paraguay, and Argentina, witnessed this grand launch event.
GWM has partnered with the powerful Santa Rosa Group of Mercosur to bring consumers in Uruguay, Paraguay, and Argentina a new experience in intelligent, safe, and clean technology. The Santa Rosa Group annually produces and exports over 20,000 vehicles in Uruguay. Its parent company, Antelo Group, owns one of the second-largest logistics companies in Europe, with a business scale that covers the entire automotive industry chain.
Omar Daneri, CEO of Santa Rosa Group in Uruguay, stated: "The GWM brand, positioned as 'clean, safe, and intelligent,' is committed to bringing users futuristic and technologically advanced products featuring 'new energy vehicles + five-star safety standards + innovative user experience,' and promoting the upgrade of the local automotive industry. We are delighted that GWM has chosen to collaborate with us among many dealership groups. The choice stems from the high alignment of our values. Both GWM and Santa Rosa Group are companies that continuously move forward on the path of innovation. With GWM's extensive product lineup and strong technical reserves, we can meet all consumer needs. In the future, we will jointly bring the most intelligent, technologically advanced, and safest products to consumers."
On the second day of the event, 111 media representatives fully experienced the vehicles' superior performance and excellent handling through different test drive routes. An Auto blog reporter, after test-driving the TANK 300, commented: "The TANK 300's design is very eye-catching, equipped with an abundance of comfort and safety features. The driving experience is impressive; you can feel that this is an outstanding off-road vehicle suitable for any terrain."
A journalist from Cronicas excitedly expressed: "In April this year, I was very honored to visit the headquarters of GWM during the Beijing Auto Show and had a test drive at the Xushui factory. I was very surprised by the rapid development of GWM at that time. Seeing so many new products like the TANK 300, ORA 03, GWM POER, and H6 being launched in Uruguay and the other two markets today, I feel it will completely change people's perception of Chinese brands. They will experience truly intelligent and technological products."
This regional launch event in Uruguay demonstrates GWM's strong determination to deepen its presence in the Mercosur market. GWM is set to bring more high-quality, high-performance automotive products to consumers in Central and South America, fully meeting the demands of the local market.
